What is Juz by Juz: Allah and Musa about?
Juz by Juz: Allah and Musa is an Islamic video for children aged 4 to 9 in which Sheikh Azhari and his children tell how Allah gave Prophet Musa (AS) two miracles and sent him, with his brother Harun (AS), to Fir'awn.
Musa was on his way back to Egypt after ten years away. Allah told him to throw down the staff in his right hand, and it became a snake. Then Allah told him to put his hand into his clothes, and it came out shining. These were miracles: signs from Allah that no one else could do. Musa was being sent to a tyrant, Fir'awn, so he made dua that Allah would open his heart and make his task and his speech easy. He also asked for his brother Harun to help him, and they went to Fir'awn together.
The Sheikh uses the story to talk about things that can be used for good or for bad, like a knife, or our own tongue: we can use it to say good things, or to hurt people. And he draws the episode's main lesson from the two brothers. When we work together, things become better and easier.
The Sheikh also tells how, as a baby, Musa (AS) put a hot coal in his mouth and hurt his tongue, which is why speaking was hard for him. This story comes from later narrations, not from the Qur'an.
The children draw a staff and some dates on their drawing pads, and answer a quiz about the Jumu'ah prayer, what to say when you sneeze and the language of the Qur'an.
