Who was Prophet Musa (AS)?
Musa (AS) was born when Pharaoh was killing the baby boys of his people. Allah told his mother to put him in the river and not to fear. Pharaoh's own family picked him up, and Allah returned him to his mother, as He had promised. Years later, at a fire by the mountain, Allah spoke to Musa. He gave him the staff that became a snake and the hand that shone white, and sent him to Pharaoh with his brother Harun.
Musa asked Allah to untie the knot from his tongue so that people would understand him. Pharaoh's magicians saw his staff swallow their tricks and believed. Then Musa led his people out by night, the sea parted and Pharaoh drowned. In the desert came the manna and the golden calf, and another story tells of his journey with Khidr.
