Who was Prophet Sulayman (AS)?
Sulayman was the son of the Prophet Dawood (AS). Once, as his army marched, an ant warned the other ants to go into their homes so that Sulayman and his soldiers would not crush them without knowing. Sulayman smiled and thanked Allah for His blessings. Allah also made the wind serve him.
One day the hoopoe was missing. It came back with news of the land of Saba, where a queen sat on a great throne, and she and her people prostrated to the sun. Sulayman sent her a letter that began with Bismillah and called her to come to him in submission. She sent him a gift, and he sent it back: what Allah had given him was better. Before she arrived, one who had knowledge of the Book brought her throne to him in the blink of an eye, and in his palace of glass she submitted, with Sulayman, to Allah, the Lord of the worlds.
Sulayman and the Queen of Sheba tells the story in five chapters, and in Juz by Juz: Sulaiman and the Hud Hud, Sheikh Azhari and his children tell it with drawing games and a quiz. The audiobook adds details of its own, some from later stories that are not in the Qur'an, and the video's page notes where the Sheikh's telling differs. Each page lists the ayahs it comes from, what your child will learn and questions to talk about together afterwards.
