What is Juz by Juz: Yaqub and His Sons about?

Juz by Juz: Yaqub and His Sons is an Islamic video for children aged 4 to 9 in which Sheikh Azhari and his children tell the Qur'an story of Prophet Yaqub (AS), his twelve sons, and the patience he showed when he lost Yusuf (AS).

Yusuf's brothers were jealous of him. They asked their father to let Yusuf go out with them, and then they threw him into a well. They came home at night, crying, and told Yaqub that a wolf had eaten Yusuf. They brought his shirt with false blood on it. The Sheikh asks the children what a shirt would look like if a wolf had really attacked: it would be torn. This one was not, and Yaqub knew they were lying.

Yaqub did not panic. He stayed calm and patient, and put his trust in Allah. Later he lost another son, known as Binyamin, who was held in Egypt, accused of stealing something he had not stolen.

In the end the brothers were sorry for what they had done. Yaqub told them he would ask Allah to forgive them. The Sheikh's lesson: whenever we do something wrong, we can turn back to Allah and make dua, and He forgives. He adds that we remember Allah in everything we do: eating with our right hand, saying Bismillah before we start, and putting on our right shoe first.

The children show their best fake cry, draw Yusuf's shirt, and answer a quiz about where the Prophet's ﷺ mosque is, fasting and the direction of the qibla.
