How do children learn to pray?
The games are hands-on. Children help Kamal the Kangaroo, Safa and Sami wake up for Fajr, make wudu, find their prayer clothes and mat, and work out the Qibla. Then they remind each of them of the movements of the prayer: standing, bowing, prostrating and sitting, in order.
The songs and videos keep it in the ear. Dada teaches Zayd the names and times of the five prayers, a sing-along goes through wudu step by step, and a short khutbah for older children explains why we pray on time and do not rush.
The stories give the reasons. The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ brings the five daily prayers back from the Night Journey, a zebra asks his jungle friends what prayer gives them, and a family on a farm stops whatever it is doing when the time for each prayer comes.
