What is Alhamdulillah We Say about?
Alhamdulillah We Say is an Islamic audiobook for children aged 4 to 9 that travels through the four seasons Allah has created and gives thanks for the blessings each one brings.
It begins in spring, when colourful flowers brighten the day and Allah's baby animals bark, moo and neigh. In summer the sun shines so brightly that it melts our ice creams, and it is time to go to the beach and build sandcastles. In autumn, children play in leaves of red and gold while the branches sway, and Allah sends heavy rain clouds to water the trees. In winter they wrap up in gloves and scarves to play in the snow, then come inside on dark evenings for hot soup and books.
Each season has the same bright refrain, "It's springtime, it's springtime, Alhamdulillah, we say", and each one ends by looking ahead to the season on its way. The pattern makes it easy for young children to join in, and to learn the order of the seasons as they go.
The book teaches children to notice the changing world around them, and to see every season, sunshine and snow alike, as a gift from Allah that we thank Him for. It is written by Rabia Bashir and narrated by Rania Kurdi. It takes about two minutes and is music-free.
