What is Al Baseer about?
Al Baseer is an Islamic learning game for children aged 4 to 9 in which Uncle Asad, a retired lion from Africa, teaches them the name Al-Baseer, the All-Seeing, one of the beautiful names of Allah.
Children join Uncle Asad on a short journey. Along the way they solve tricky puzzles, play monster games and listen to his story about an honest little mouse. By the end of the journey, they know what Al-Baseer means.
Al-Baseer is the One who sees everything. Nothing is hidden from Allah, even what we do when no one else is around. That is why the name goes so well with a story about honesty: a child who knows that Allah sees them has a reason to tell the truth and do the right thing, even in secret.
The game is a gentle first step into the names of Allah for young children, and older children can talk about what the name means for them at home and at school. Uncle Asad also tells the story of an honest little mouse in the audiobook Storytime with Uncle Asad: Al Baseer.
Al Baseer is music-free and a Miraj original.
