What is Al Mujeeb about?
Al Mujeeb is an Islamic video for children aged 4 to 6: an encouraging animated poem about a girl's first day at school, and about one of the beautiful names of Allah, Al-Mujeeb, the One who answers prayers.
It is a warm, sunny day, and the girl is excited but wobbly in her tummy. She has lots of scary questions. Who will be her friend? Who will show her what to do? The classroom is noisy, and she clings to her mum and asks to go home. Her mum smiles and tells her to pray to Allah, Al-Mujeeb, who answers every prayer and is always there.
The day is not easy at first. There are too many rules, she misses her dad, and when the teacher asks her a question, the answer disappears. So she closes her eyes, sits still and prays. Little by little, things get better: at lunch she sits between new friends, at playtime she chases them round the playground and learns new games, and when she does not understand something in class, she asks Allah for help.
When the bell rings, she has lots of news for her mum and dad. But the best thing she has learned is that Al-Mujeeb hears our prayers. The poem is a good one to share before a new start, such as the first day at school or moving home. It is part of The Beautiful Names of Allah, a series of animated poems, and is music-free and a Miraj original.
