What is A Tiny Voyage about?

A Tiny Voyage is an animated film for children aged 4 to 9 in which a little boy called John helps his parakeet, Titi, find the courage to fly.

John and Titi are good friends. One day John notices something strange: the door of Titi's cage is open, but the little bird stays inside. Outside there are loads of other birds flying free, and John cannot understand why Titi does not want to join them. "Are you scared?" he asks. "Don't worry! I'll come with you!"

Soon John finds himself in a dream-like world, a starry forest of purple and blue where Titi is as big as he is. There he learns about Titi's fears, and finds ways to help his tiny friend be brave. John even rides on Titi's back. By the end of the film, Titi is flying in the open sky.

The film has very little speech, only a few words from John, so it is told mostly in pictures, in bright, bold colours. It is a gentle story about fear and friendship. Children see that being scared of something new is normal, that a good friend is patient and stays with us, and that courage often comes one small step at a time.

The film lasts about 8 minutes.
