What is Al Qaswa about?
Al Qaswa is an Islamic learning game for children aged 4 to 6 in which they look after Al Qaswa, the favourite camel of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, after a long journey.
Al Qaswa is back from a long and tiring journey, and she is dusty, thirsty and hungry. Children give her a good wash, then plenty to drink and some nutritious food. Camels can drink a great deal of water in one go, up to 130 litres, and the game shares interesting facts like this about camels as children care for her.
The game introduces young children to the Prophet's ﷺ camel. It shows them that the Prophet ﷺ had animals he loved, and that animals need care: washing, water and good food. It is also a way to talk about how Allah made camels for life in the desert, and about the journeys Al Qaswa made with the Prophet ﷺ.
Children who want to hear her story can go on to the interactive picture book Al Qaswa and the video Al Qaswa, the Special Camel, which tell of her journeys with the Prophet ﷺ.
Al Qaswa is a Miraj original.
