How do Arabic stories help children learn Arabic?
Children pick up a language best when they hear it often, in things they already enjoy. A short picture book at bedtime or a song on a journey gives a child Arabic words and sentences in a setting they understand, alongside the letters and Qur'an words they learn at home or at madrasah.
The Arabic picture books are short, simple stories about home, family, friends, animals and the world around us, with pictures that help a young child follow along. Some English titles, such as the Pacca Alpaca songs and the picture challenge games, have an Arabic version too, so a child can meet the same words in both languages.
Each page tells you in English what a title is about, the ages it suits and what your child will learn from it, with questions to talk about together afterwards. Everything can be downloaded in the app for offline use.
